The fire that broke out at a building in the capital’s Wari area early Tuesday has been fully doused, the authorities said.
The fire broke out on the first floor of the six-storey building opposite to Wari Police Outpost at 1:55 am, said Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director (media) of Fire Service and Civil Defense Headquarters, reports UNB.
On information, ten firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 2:40 am, he added.
The flame was completely doused at around 3:10 am. No casualties were reported in the fire incident.
The reason for the fire and the extent of the damage could not be confirmed immediately, said the fire official.
