Fire breaks out at police station storeroom in Ctg

A fire broke out at Panchlaish Model Police Station in Chattogram city on Tuesday.

Being informed, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire after an hour of frantic effort.

Mohammad Solaiman, officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station, told journalists that the blaze started in the storeroom on the ground floor of the three-storey building around 3:30 am.

Police and firefighters suspect the fire originated from an electrical short circuit before spreading to goods stored in the room.

However, no casualties were reported in the incident, said the OC.
