Flight operations at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport have been suspended temporarily after a fire broke out in the cargo section.
The fire started near Gate 8 of the airport around 2:30pm on Saturday, according to Fire Service spokesman Talha Bin Jashim, bdnews24.com reports.
“Nine firefighting units are working to bring the fire under control,” he said. “Fifteen more units are headed to the scene.”
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
