A seven-year-old girl has allegedly been raped by a young man in Sadar upazila of Noakhali district.
Victim's mother said the girl, a Class-I student of a local madrasa, was playing with other children on their courtyard in Kaliatara Bazar area on Monday.
Rubel, 22, son of Abu Taher of nearby Sholyaghatia village, tactfully took the girl to his house around 5:00pm and raped her, reports UNB.
As the house remained closed for long time, her playmates informed it to her parents.
Rubel fled the house through the back door after locals knocked at the front door.
Later, they rescued the girl who was bleeding profusely and took her to Noakhali General Hospital around 6:00pm.
Meanwhile, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar circle) Mahmud Hassan visited the victim at the hospital.
He said they were trying to arrest the alleged rapist.
