Five people have been killed in a three-way road accident between a bus, a car, and a motorcycle on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway.
Four more people were injured in the incident, which occurred near the Dhaleshwari Toll Plaza on the expressway, reports bdnews24.com.
A Bepari Paribahan bus initially rammed a Mawa-bound car from behind, said Saiful Islam, deputy assistant director of the Munshiganj Fire Station. The car then slammed into a motorcycle in front of it.
The Army and the Fire Service rushed to the scene, rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital.
Witnesses say a child on the motorcycle was killed on the spot. Of the eight others injured at the scene, four died on the way to the hospital.
