Former Attorney General AJ Mohammad Ali has passed away.
The senior advocate, also the President of Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum, died at 2:20 pm on Thursday while undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals in Singapore.
Ali was 73 years old. He left behind his wife, a son and a daughter.
An advisor to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, Ali was the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan expressed deep sadness over the death of AJ Mohammad Ali. He prayed for the soul of the deceased and condoled with the bereaved family.
Attorney General AM Amin Uddin also mourned the death.
His body is scheduled to arrive on Friday.
