Former Director and former Chairman of NCC Bank, as well as a leading industrialist and philanthropist of the country, S M Abu Mohsin, passed away on Monday at the age of 72 (Innalillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un).
He breathed his last at 3pm at Apollo Imperial Hospitals, Chattogram following a heart attack, says a press release.
Mr Mohsin leaves behind his wife, four sons and a good number of well wishers.
He was born into a respectable Muslim family of Chittagong in 1952. He was the Chairman of Alliance Deep Sea Fishing Ltd, JM Shipping Lines, Food & Accommodation Co Ltd and Managing Director of Brothers Oxygen Ltd.
His father, the late S M Mozaherul Haq, was the founder of Mozaher Group and Mr Mohsin was also a director of this group.
Mr Mohsin was also the Chairman of Continental Insurance Ltd and a director of Central Hospital Ltd. In addition, he was associated with many social and educational organisations.
