The grand rally organised by Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh is currently underway at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka, as the group calls for the immediate dissolution of the Women’s Reform Commission among four major demands. The event began at 9:00 am and will continue until 1:00 pm.

Thousands of people have gathered at the rally, with participants arriving from districts and sub-districts across the country, including Dhaka and Chattogram. According to Hefazat leaders, over 50,000 activists have travelled from Chattogram alone to join Saturday's event.

Leaders of the organisation are delivering speeches addressing key demands, which include the repeal of the Women's Reform Commission—alleging its recommendations contradict Islamic teachings—restoring complete faith in Almighty Allah in the Constitution, withdrawing all alleged politically motivated cases filed during the previous AL government’s tenure, and ensuring justice for the May 5, 2013 Shapla Chattar killing. The organisation also called for an end to what they describe as Muslim oppression and mass killings in Palestine and India.
