Four state-owned banks to remain open on limited scale today

Four state-owned banks will remain open on a limited scale on Friday to facilitate the withdrawal of salaries and allowances for MPO-enlisted teachers and staff ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The banks are Sonali Bank, Janata Bank, Agrani Bank, and Rupali Bank. The transaction services will be available only for two hours.

The Bangladesh Bank issued this directive on Thursday.

According to the central bank's instructions, designated branches of these banks will stay open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, and the transactions will be available from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a prayer break from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
