Yet another Bangladeshi national has been shot to death by Indian Border Security Force (BSF), taking the total deaths of Bangladeshis in BSF firing to four this January.

The latest death incident took place along Sahebnagar border under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi on Thursday and the victim was identified as 45-year-old cattle trader Jamal, son of Golam Mostafa hailing from Char Ashariadaha in the same upazila.

Confirming the incident, BGB Sahebnagar camp commander Nayeb Subedar Sultan Molla said the BSF members from Char Ashariadah camp started firing on a group of cattle traders, including Jamal, near Sahebnagar Pillar No. 1 on the frontier, leaving him dead on the spot.

However, those with him managed to flee the scene carrying his body.
