Garment factory workers stage demonstration in Gazipur for increment

Workers of a garment factory, Irish Fashion, in the Jirani area of Gazipur, staged a demonstration on Sunday morning, demanding a yearly increment of their wages, according to local news portals.

After the beginning of their demonstration, at least 15 to 16 factories in the nearby areas were declared closed.

As per Irish Fashion's policy, workers who have worked for more than one year will receive a yearly increment. However, the workers were demanding the facility for all workers.
