Good-laden train halts after derailing in Mymensingh

A good-laden train derailed at Bakainagar in Gauripur upazila of Mymensingh on Sunday morning suspending the communication link between Mymensingh and Bhairab.

Four compartments of a slipper and stone-laden Chattogram bound train veered off the track near Gauripur Railway Station at 7:30 am, said Abdul Hannan Farazi, officer-in-charge of Government Railway Police (GRP) in Mymensingh.

Meanwhile, the salvage operation has begun to remove the compartments from the tracks, UNB reported.

However, none was injured in the accident, said the OC.
