Government to distribute digital certificates, IDs among freedom fighters

The government is set to distribute permanent certificates and identity (ID) cards among freedom fighters.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said this on Sunday addressing the reception of FFs on the premises of Amantullya High School at Patgram upazila in Lalmonirhat district.

"The process is on to distribute digital permanent certificates and IDs among the freedom fighters," he said.

Mozammel also said the lists of all freedom fighters (FF) have already been published on the website of the ministry.

Employers and authorities concerned would verify before giving jobs against the children’s quota for the FFs.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UUNO) Nur Kutubul Alam chaired the programme, reports BSS citing a press release.

State Minister for Social Welfare Nuruzaman Ahmed, lawmakers Md Motahar Hossain and Safura Begum Rumi and Rupali Bank Managing Director Md Ataur Raman, among others, were present at the function.
