The government has extended the deadline for five reform commissions to submit their reports by one month.

In a notice issued on Thursday, the Cabinet Division said the commissions on health, women’s affairs, mass media, labour, and local government will now have until 30 April to complete their submissions.

The commissions were initially scheduled to submit their reports by the end of March.

Among the five, the mass media reform commission has already submitted its full report, while the local government commission has submitted a summary. The remaining three commissions are yet to submit their reports.

A total of 11 commissions have been formed by the interim government to propose reforms across major sectors. On 15 January, the commissions on the constitution, election system, police, and anti-corruption submitted their reports. The commissions on public administration and the judiciary submitted theirs on 5 February.
