Govt likely to extend holidays to April 25

The government is likely to extend its holidays by 11 more days to April 25 from April 14 in an effort to contain the coronavirus spread in the country.

A discussion at the government level has been held this noon (Friday), according to media reports.

Cabinet secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said a discussion is on about another extension in the ongoing government holidays.

Should the government increase the holidays until April 25, it will be the third extension since it first announced holidays from March 26 to April 04.
