Govt nods proposal to issue gazette recognising Kazi Nazrul as national poet

The advisory council of the interim government has approved a proposal to publish a gazette officially recognising rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam as the national poet of Bangladesh.

The approval came from a meeting at the chief advisor’s office in Dhaka city’s Tejgaon on Thursday.
