The government today promoted police’s 29 town and traffic inspectors to the rank of assistant superintendent of police (ASP), the home ministry said in a statement.
The officers who were inducted in Bangladesh Civil Service’s (BCS) police cadre as ASPs, were serving as police’s town and traffic inspectors, BSS reports, citing the statement.
Under the notification, they were attached to the police headquarters with directives to submit their joining letters to the senior secretary of the public security division of the home ministry through proper authority.
