The government increased the daily wages of temporary workers employed in various government departments by Tk 150 to Tk 225.
The Ministry of Finance issued a circular on Thursday regarding the wage raise, which will come into effect from July 01.
According to the circular, the revised wages will apply to workers temporarily employed on a daily basis in various ministries, divisions, agencies, state-owned, and autonomous institutions to carry out urgent tasks. However, certain conditions must be met for the new rates to be applicable.
