

The interim government is set to launch a nationwide campaign aimed at boosting voter awareness and turnout ahead of next year’s parliamentary election and referendum, reports bdnews24.com.
The initiative, known as “Vote er Gari" (Vote Caravan), is due to be inaugurated on Monday afternoon at the National Parliament complex, with Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus expected to deliver a video message at the launch.
The campaign will cover all 64 districts and more than 300 Upazilas in an effort to encourage voters to take part in the polls, according to officials.
The launch event is expected to be attended by Information Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Cultural Affairs Advisor Mostofa Sarwar Farooki and Election Commission Secretary Akhtar Ahmed.
The schedule for the upcoming election was announced on Dec 11. Voting in the 13th parliamentary election and the referendum is scheduled for Feb 12, from 7:30am to 4:30pm.
