Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali said Sunday that he wants to go tough against the loan defaulters.
"I want to book the defaulters," the minister told newsmen after a meeting with an IMF executive director in Dhaka.
Asked whether he would be able to take action as the defaulters are very powerful, the minister said: "Let's see what happens."
He said action has been taken against a former police chief whose assets has been ordered for confiscation.
Moreover, he said an Army chief has also been identified and barred to enter USA for his involvement in wrongdoings.
Bangladesh Army will take action against him, said the minister.
