A murder case has been filed against the former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, former education minister Mohibul Hasan Nowfel, and 32 others over the killing of a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinee during the quota reform movement in Chattogram.

The 19-year-old Tanvir Siddique was shot dead in a clash between the protesting students and the Awami League activists and police in the city’s Bahaddarhat on July 18.

His uncle Mohammad Parvez filed the case with Chandgaon Police Station on Saturday.

With this addition, Hasina is now dealing with a total of nine cases including the two filed with the International Crimes Tribunal for crimes against humanity and genocide.
