The High Court has cancelled the exam for recruitment of Janata Bank executive officers amid allegations of question leaks and ordered a test retake.

The HC bench of Justice Justice Jubayer Rahman Chowdhury and Justice Md Iqbal Kabir passed the order on Thursday, reports bdnews24.com.

The written exam was held on Apr 21, 2017.

A month after the written tests, 15 job seekers filed a writ petition with the High Court amid allegations of question leaks.

In response to the petition, the court had frozen the results of the written tests for the recruitment of 834 senior officers at the bank.

Some 10,150 aspirants cleared the preliminary test on Mar 24 out of 250,000 candidates. A total of 9,400 job seekers sat for the written tests.

The Bankers’ Selection Committee published the job notice for the posts in March 2016.
