Hindu nationalist organisations staged another demonstration outside Bangladesh's Deputy High Commission in Kolkata on Tuesday, but police intercepted them before reaching the mission premises.

The Bangiya Hindu Jagaran Mancha organised a protest march starting from Sealdah Railway Station. When hundreds of activists attempted to approach the diplomatic compound, police blocked them with barricades at Begbagan, according to local media reports.

Violent clashes erupted as protesters pelted stones at officers, who responded with baton charges. Several police personnel and demonstrators were injured, with casualties admitted to Nilratan and PG hospitals. Multiple protesters were detained and taken to Lalbazar police headquarters.

The Deputy High Commission remains under tight security. This follows Monday's protest led by BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, who alleged persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh.
