Homage to Imam Hossain (RA)

President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have paid tributes to Hazrat Imam Hossain (RA) and other martyrs of Karbala.

Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)’s grandson Hazrat Imam Hossain, his family and a host of his followers embraced martyrdom at Karbala on the 10th Muharram of Hijri 61 in a battle to establish truth and justice.

Recalling Hazrat Imam Hossain (RA)’s supreme sacrifice, President Abdul Hamid said the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hossain (RA) and his companions in Karbala for upholding the ideals of Islam, the religion of peace and tranquility, is remaining as a glorious event in history.

He said the eternal message of Holy Ashura inspires us to be vocal against any injustice and repression and walk on the path of truth and justice.

On the auspicious occasion, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged all to be imbued with the teachings of holy Ashura to establish truth and justice in all spheres to combat all sorts of injustice in the national life.

She said the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hossain (RA) and his companions to establish peace and justice in society is a glaring and emulating example for the Muslim Ummah across the world.

The day of Ashura is significant in human history, she said adding that this day is very sacred to the Muslims across the world. – agencies
