Hotline for land related services, complaints to be launched on Oct 10

Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury on Monday said that the government is going to launch a hotline, 16123, on October 10 to receive land related complaints and provide transparent and efficient service to the people.

The minister came up with the remarks in a meeting with the land reform board's officials at its headquarters in Motijheel, reports UNB citing a press release.

“We want to ensure transparency in every land office of the country. The hotline will be launched to receive complaints of irregularities from people and take proper action in this regard,” he said.

The Minister also directed the AC Land officials across the country to work with transparency and accountability and prepare the list of the Government land (Khas land) within their jurisdiction.

Land Secretary Md Muksodur Rahman Patwary, Additional Secretary (Development) Md Abdul Haque, LRB member Mohammad Zakir Hossain and Zahida Khanam including other top level officials were also present in the meeting chaired by Chairman of the Land Reform Board (LRB) Ummul Hasna.
