A head-on collision between a car and a lorry on a bypass intersection in Mymensingh has left a married couple dead and two others injured.
The accident took place around 2am on Wednesday, said Inspector Mahmudul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station.
According to bdnews24, police identified the husband as 32-year-old Paltu but have yet to identify his wife.
A private car, heading to Mymensingh, collided head-on with a lorry carrying oil, said OC Mahmudul.
The four passengers of the car suffered critical injuries, and two of them later died in hospital, he said.
The two others injured were sent to Dhaka, said Razib Hossain, a receptionist at MMCH.
