IEB hosts Ramadan prayer, iftar ceremony in Dhaka

The Engineers’ Institution, Bangladesh (IEB), in collaboration with its Dhaka Centre and ERC Dhaka, organized a special Ramadan prayer and iftar ceremony at the IEB Auditorium in Ramna on Saturday afternoon.

Housing and Public Works Minister Zakaria Taher attended the event as the chief guest. State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shah Alam, and State Minister for Housing and Public Works Ahmad Sohel Monjur were the special guests in the programme, according to a press statement.

The ceremony was presided over by IEB President Engineer Mohammad Riazul Islam (Riju). Convener of the Association of Engineers Bangladesh (AEB), Shahrin Islam Tuhin and Acting Honorary Secretary of IEB, Engineer Muhammad Ahsanul Rasel, addressed the event.

Engineer Helal Uddin Talukdar, Chairman of IEB Dhaka Centre, and Engineer Khan Ataur Rahman Santu, Vice-Chairman of ERC Dhaka, ATM Tanvir-ul Hasan (Tamal), Vice-President (Administration and Finance) of IEB and Convener of the Organising Committee, also delivered an address at the event.

The programme was conducted by KM Asaduzzaman, Member Secretary of the Organising Committee and Honorary Secretary, Dhaka Centre.

IEB’s senior officials and engineers from various centres and chapters attended, including Vice-Presidents Khan Monjur Morshed, Sheikh Al Amin, and Niyaz Uddin Bhuiyan, as well as Honorary Assistant Secretaries Mohammad Mahbub Alam, Md. Nur Amin, and Sabbir Ahmed Osmani. Other notable attendees included Abdullah Al Mamun, Kamrul Hasan (Uzzal), Shaheen Howlader, Robiul Alam Uzzal, Motahar Hossain, Alamgir Hasin Ahmed, Sarwar Anichur Rahman Rana, Mohiuddin Ahmed (Selim), and Mohammad Kamrul Hasan Khan, alongside members of IEB’s engineering divisions, chapters, and affiliated institutions.
