Iftekhar Rafsan fined Tk 1.6 million

Dhaka Pure Food Court has fined Iftekhar Rafsan, popularly known as ‘Rafsan the ChotoBhai’ on social media, Tk 1.6 million for marketing an unauthorised marketing electrolyte drink, BLU.

Special Metropolitan Magistrate of Pure Food Court at Dhaka South City Corporation Alaul Akbar passed the order on Wednesday. Iftekhar Rafsan was present at the court during the delivery of the verdict.

Besides, the court asked Iftekhar Rafsan to withdraw BLU from the market within seven days.

The court had issued an arrest warrant against Rafsan on June 4 following a petition filed by Food Safety Inspector Mohammad Kamrul Hasan.
