Adviser of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting M. Mahfuz Alam today (Tuesday) denied a report that the government banned the news broadcast of the private Deepto TV channel.
“The government has not stopped the news programme of Deepto TV,” the ministry in a statement quoted the adviser as saying at a function of itself, BSS reports.
Alam added, “It is an internal decision of the Deepto TV authority.”
