Protesters injured during the July mass uprising and their family members blocked the Shahbagh intersection again on Monday noon, causing a halt in traffic movement in the area.

They stated that the government is providing medical treatment to the injured in three categories: 'A', 'B', and 'C'.

However, those in the 'C' category are not receiving the same benefits as those in 'A' and 'B', which the victims claim is highly discriminatory.

The protesters demanded that all injured individuals be treated under either the 'A' or 'B' category.

They further insisted that there should only be two categories: injured and seriously injured.

The victims also demanded the establishment of a toll-free hotline service for providing medical assistance to injured individuals in remote areas, urging the government to enact laws to ensure the safety of the injured.

Additionally, they called for all injured victims to be included under the government’s allowance scheme.
