Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr Shafiqur Rahman will leave for Saudi Arabia early Wednesday to perform holy Umrah.
Dr Rahman, who is also the Leader of the Opposition in the Jatiya Sangsad, is scheduled to depart Dhaka at 3am, the party said in a statement on Tuesday night, UNB reports.
He is expected to return to Dhaka on the morning of March 6, read the statement.
