A four-member Jamaat delegation has arrived at Jamuna, the official residence of Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, to hold talks with him.
The delegation entered Jamuna at 5:45 pm on Wednesday.
The members of the delegation are Amir Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretaries General ATM Masum, and Rafiqul Islam Khan.
Earlier, around 5 pm, a four-member delegation of the National Citizen Party (NCP) also arrived at Jamuna to meet the Chief Adviser.
The delegation, led by NCP Convener Nahid Islam, includes Chief Organiser for the North Sarjis Alam, Senior Joint Convener Samanta Sharmin, and Joint Convener Khaled Saifullah.
On October 17, the July Charter was signed.
However, political parties have differed over how to implement the charter.
Against this backdrop, the Chief Adviser has taken the initiative to hold talks with the parties.
On Saturday evening, a BNP delegation led by the party’s secretary general, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, held talks with the Chief Adviser at his residence.
The party has called on the government to switch to a neutral caretaker mode and demanded the removal of party-affiliated individuals from the interim administration.
Jamaat has also raised questions about some advisers who remain in the interim government.
The party leaders have recently claimed that a few advisers continue to stay close to the Chief Adviser and “confuse him.”
