Jatiya Party has relieved its Co-chairman Kazi Firoz Rashid of its all positions.
Alongside Rashid, presidium member Sunil Shubh Roy was also dismissed from the party’s all roles, the JaPa said in a press release on Friday afternoon, according to local media.
The party's Chairman GM Quader made this decision under the powers granted by the party's constitution, it noted.
The JaPa, however, did not specify any reason behind Rashid and Roy’s dismissals.
Rashid had withdrawn from the Dhaka-6 race in the 12th parliamentary election after the seat was not allocated to the Jatiya Party in the seat-sharing agreement with the Awami League.
