Jashore bomb blast leaves teenage boy injured

A teenage boy was severely injured as a bomb exploded while making bomb at a field in Asrom Road in Jashore district town on Friday morning.

The injured was identified as Asif, 15, son of Ali Hossain of the area. He was taken to Jashore Sadar Hospital and later moved to Dhaka for better treatment.

Nahian, sub-inspector of Kotwali Police Station said the bomb went off when Asif along with 4/5 of his accomplices was making bombs at Saheb Babu's field in the area at around 10:00am.

Police arrested Ekram, son of Jahangir Hossain of Raypara area, from the spot.

Ekram confessed to police that they were making bomb there, UNB reports citing the SI.

However, victim's elder brother Amit said the bomb exploded when Asif was cutting grass at the field, leaving him critically injured.
