Journalists Babu, Shyamal Dutta arrested

Journalists Shyamal Dutta and Mozammel Haque Babu have been arrested in Dobaura upazila of Mymensingh.

Babu, the CEO of Ekattor television, and Shyamal, editor of the daily Bhorer Kagoj, were  detained while trying to flee to India through the Dobaura border, as per local media reports.

Locals detained four people including journalists Babu and Shyamal while they were trying to flee through a private car and handed over them to the police. 

The two other arrestees are- Ekattor TV senior reporter Mahbubur Rahman and the driver of the private car.
