DCAB expresses deep sorrow over the senior journalist’s death

Noted journalist Nizam Uddin Ahmed, a freedom fighter and business editor of The Daily Observer, passed away on Wednesday. He was 71.
Diplomatic Correspondents Association Bangladesh (DCAB) has expressed deep shock at the death of the senior journalist’s death.
Fondly remembering journalist Nizam Uddin's close attachment with the DCAB as an all-time well-wisher, DCAB President AKM Moinuddin and General Secretary Md Arifuzzaman Mamun expressed profound shock at his sudden death and offered prayers for the eternal peace of his departed soul.
"We, the DCAB family, are heartbroken at this irreplaceable loss. Our deepest condolences to the bereaved family, and may his soul rest in eternal peace," they said in a message of condolence.
Nizam Uddin, who also worked for international news agency Reuters, breathed his last around 5:50am on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at Aurora Specialized Hospital.
He left behind his wife, two sons, and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death, reports UNB.
The body of Nizam is being taken to his village home in Chattogram's Lohagara. He will be buried there after Asr prayer.
