Judicial proceedings to continue virtually, physically amid pandemic

Judicial proceedings of the country's lower court will be conducted both virtually and physically amid the surging Covid-19 transmission.

To this effect, a notification was issued on Saturday in this regard by the Supreme Court Registrar General Md Ali Akbar.

Due to the rising Covid-19 infections, all subordinate civil and criminal courts in the country will conduct trials through physical presence or virtual presence using information technology, the notification stated.
