Justice Syed Md Ziaul Karim goes into retirement

Justice Syed Md Ziaul Karim in the Appellate Division of Supreme Court retired on Wednesday.

Attorney General’s Office and the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) organised a farewell function for him, where Attorney General Md Asaduzzman and SCBA President Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon spoke on the judicial career of Justice Syed Md Ziaul Karim.

Born on December 12, 1957, Justice Syed Md Ziaul Karim got enrolled as an advocate in the District Court on March 18, 1986. He was enrolled at the High Court Division and the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court on April 18, 1988 and November 28, 1996, respectively.

Justice Syed Md Ziaul Karim was elevated as additional judge of the High Court Division on March 23, 2004, and appointed judge of the same division on August 23, 2006. He was elevated to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on August 13, 2024.
