Khaleda in CCU, BNP seeks prayers for her speedy recovery

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was transferred to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) on Thursday from her cabin at Evercare Hospital in the city.

Khaleda Zia is currently under the care of local and foreign specialists from the hospital's medical board. This information was shared by Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP Chairperson's media wing.

BNP has requested prayers from people across the country for the quick recovery of Khaleda Zia. BNP leaders and activists in various districts have already organized prayer programs for her speedy recovery.

On November 23, Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital after developing a chest infection that affected both her heart and lungs.

The 79-year-old has been dealing with multiple health issues, including heart problems, liver and kidney complications, diabetes, lung problems, arthritis, and eye-related illnesses.

She also has a permanent pacemaker and has previously undergone heart stenting.

Shairul Kabir Khan, on behalf of the party, urged the people of the country to pray for Khaleda Zia.

Khaleda Zia had traveled to London on January 7 for advanced treatment. After spending 117 days in London, she returned to the country on May 6. Since then, she has had to make several visits to the hospital due to various physical complications.
