Lakshmipur reports first coronavirus case

A man in Lakshmipur district, who recently returned from Dhaka, was diagnosed with coronavirus on Sunday.

Civil Surgeon Dr Abdul Gaffar said so far they have tested samples of 107 people and found one positive case.

“It is the first coronavirus case in the district,” he said.

The patient was sent to Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital in the capital for treatment, reports a news agency.

The man did not show any coronavirus symptom but requested the health division to conduct a test. He was undergoing home quarantine at Daspara village of Ramganj upazila.
