Lawmen seize Yaba in St Martin’s Island

Members of Coast Guard recovered three lakh pieces of Yaba tablets from St Martin's Island in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday night.  

Being tipped off that a big consignment of Yaba pills was being taken to St Martin’s Island, members of Coast Guard conducted a drive at the west beach of the island and recovered the contraband pills worth Tk 120 million, said station commander of St Martin’s Island Coast Guard Lt Jahid Al Hasan. 

However, sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the drug peddlers fled the scene, reports UNB citing station commander Jahid.
