Two farmers were killed by lightning strikes in Kurigram and Dinajpur districts on Sunday.
In Kurigram, a farmer was killed as a thunderbolt struck him on his way home from his cropland amid rain at Raghurai Gambari in Ulipur upazila on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Ahsraful Islam, 32, son of Hasen Ali, said Durgapur Union Parishad chairman Abed Ali Sardar.
In Dinajpur, a farmer was killed by lightning strike at Paroil village in Phulbari uapzila in the afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Supoltudu, 45, son of Bhangitudu of the village, said Fakhrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Phulbari Police Station.
