The eight-year-old girl who was raped while visiting her sister’s in-laws' house in Magura remains in critical condition, with no signs of improvement. She is still on life support at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of Dhaka’s Combined Military Hospital (CMH), according to doctors and family members who spoke to the media on Monday morning.
Earlier, late on Sunday night, rumours circulated on social media claiming that the girl's condition had improved and that she was taken off life support. However, doctors and her relatives have confirmed that these claims are untrue.
A medical board member overseeing her treatment confirmed that her life support has never been removed. “Her condition remains the same, and she is still fighting for her life,” the doctor said.
A medical board member overseeing her treatment clarified that her life support has never been discontinued at any point.
The girl remains in a critical state, and her condition is unchanged. She is still in a fight for survival, the doctor noted.
