Main Eid jamaat to be held at Jatiya Eidgah

The main jamaat (congregation) of Eid-ul-Fitr will be held at the Jatiya Eidgah Maidan, adjacent to the High Court, at 8.30am under the arrangement of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

In case of any failure due to any inclement weather, the main Eid congregation will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 9:00 am.

“Considering the adverse weather situation, all necessary preparations have been taken for holding the main Eid jamaat,” DSCC Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said while visiting the overall arrangement of the Eid-ul Fitr Jamaat.

“Around 35,000 devotees will participate in the Eid Jamaat under 25,400 square metres pandel areas,” said Public Relations Officer of DSCC M Abu Naser. Separate arrangements have been taken for women to participate in the Eid Jamaat.

President, Justices, members of the cabinet, diplomats from different Muslim countries will also participate in the main Eid Jamaat.
