Police have recovered the body of a businessman from a jute field beside the road in Khanhsama upazila of Dinajpur district.
The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, a resident of Tofir Member Para in Margao village under Bhavki Union of the upazila. He was a maize trader by profession.
According to locals, they spotted the body lying in the jute field near Bangla Bhasha College on Monday and informed police.
Police have recovered a body and sent it to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Nazmul Haque, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Khansama Police Station.
The cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report, he added.
