Malaysia has repatriated 87 foreign nationals, including 15 Bangladeshis, after they completed their prison sentences for various offenses.
According to a statement released by the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) on Saturday, the deportees included 33 citizens from Indonesia, 29 from India, three from Cambodia, three from Vietnam, two from China, one from Thailand, and one from Egypt.
The department further explained that the individuals were returned to their respective countries by air or land at their own expense after their nationalities were verified by their respective embassies.
As an additional measure, they have been blacklisted to prevent them from re-entering Malaysia.
