A man has suffered burn injuries as he allegedly set himself on fire by pouring kerosene following an altercation with his wife at Falmondi in Chattogram city.
The victim was identified as Abul Kashem, 47, a resident of the area, reports UNB.
Mohammad Mahsin, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said Abul Kashem picked up a quarrel with his wife on Thursday afternoon over a trifling matter.
At one stage, he set himself on fire by pouring kerosene.
He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital. Doctors said he received 70 per cent burn injuries.
