A man was stabbed to death allegedly by his brother at Ishwarpur under Sadar upazila in Joypurhat on Wednesday morning over a trifling matter.
The deceased was identified as Harunur Rashid, son of late Moser Ali.
Quoting locals, police said that when Harunur was working at the yard of his house his elder brother Solim Uddin, sister-in-law Golap Banu and nephew Towhid Uddin were locked into an altercation with him over keeping straw of paddy.
At one stage, they attacked him with a knife and stabbed him, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was rushed to Joypurhat Modern District Hospital where doctors declared him dead, reports UNB.
Police arrested four people including Solim Uddin in this connection.
