Mass awareness in focus for better traffic management

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) launched the Traffic Week on Sunday aimed at ensuring discipline in streets and creating awareness among city dwellers for a better vehicular management.

DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia inaugurated the programme at the crossing of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.

The traffic campaign will end on March 23.

After the inauguration, the DMP commissioner distributed flowers and traffic awareness leaflets among passengers in public transport.

He urged all to abide by the traffic rules and help police to enforce them. He also warned of stern action against traffic rule violators

Earlier, the DMP traffic division arranged different programmes, including rallies, poster distribution, screening of videos and publishing guide books, to speed up the ongoing traffic management programme.
