Dr Matiur Rahman, the president of the National Board of Revenue's Customs, Excise and VAT Appellate Tribunal, was removed from his current position amid controversy over his wealth.
According to a notification, the government has attached Matiur Rahman with Internal Resources Division under the Ministry of Finance with immediate effect.
Besides, he was asked not to attend a meeting of state-owned Sonali Bank PLC as a director.
